I know, I’m terribly late to the party. But being a Canadian, I’m predisposed to love Drake. Aside from his obvious talent, he’s a Toronto-loving, bi-racial, Jewish rapper who continues to make a killing in the international hip hop world. (Admit it, you re-read that sentence at least once.) There’s something I admire about a Canadian artist who makes it big, but continues to be proud of their roots. Drake unabashedly loves his hometown of TDOT and often references his city in songs. I encourage you to give the interview a listen too if you want to know a cool story about how Drake found his rapper muse as a child. Also, shout out to Sampha who gives Captain Hook a run for his money.
