THE ONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK – SIMON & GARFUNKEL

“The Only Living Boy in New York” is one of my favorite singles from the timeless duo. I like to imagine the idea of being lonely in New York, a city toppling eight million people, and just drift off to the echo of Simon and Garfunkel’s voices (to that lovely, fuzzy part of my brain where I don’t have to think). The story goes that song was written by Paul Simon during Art Garfunkel’s trip to Mexico in order to film his part in Catch-22 (hence Simon’s lyrics on loneliness).
